This policy applies to all users of the Haiwanku app, which helps connect animal lovers, shelters, veterinarians, and volunteers in animal rescue and welfare efforts.
Personal Data We Collect (PDPA Definition)
Under PDPA 2010, "personal data" means any information in respect of commercial transactions which relates directly or indirectly to a data subject, who is identified or identifiable from that information. We collect the following categories of personal data:
1. Personal Data You Provide Directly
Account Registration & Authentication:
- Email address and password (for email registration)
- Display name or username
- Profile photos
- Authentication data from third-party providers (Google, Apple Sign-In)
Profile Information:
- Shelter or organization information (name, contact details, address)
- Veterinary clinic information
- User preferences and settings
- Language preferences
Communication Data:
- Messages and reports you submit through the app
- Customer service communications
- Feedback and survey responses
Note: We do not store your full credit card information. Payment processing is handled securely by Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
Your Rights Under PDPA 2010
As a data subject under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you have the following rights:

App Store Privacy Labels Data Types
In compliance with Apple's App Store requirements, the following data types may be collected through our app:
Data Linked to You
- Contact Info: Email address, name
- User Content: Photos, messages, customer support communications
- Identifiers: User ID, device ID (for authentication)
- Usage Data: Product interaction, advertising data
- Diagnostics: Crash data, performance data
Data Not Linked to You
- Location: Approximate location (for shelter/vet proximity, not precise tracking)
- Usage Data: Anonymous app analytics
Data Deletion and Portability
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data or receive a copy of your data:
Account Deletion
- In-app: Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account
- Email: Send request to support@haiwanku.org with subject "DELETE ACCOUNT"
- Processing time: Within 30 days of request
- Note: Some data may be retained for legal compliance (donation records, etc.)
Data Export
- Request via email: support@haiwanku.org with subject "DATA EXPORT"
- Includes: Profile data, donation history, messages, photos
- Format: JSON or CSV file
- Delivery: Within 21 days via secure email
Children's Privacy (Age 13+)
Age Requirement: Our Service is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete such information immediately.
